As many of you know we have been trying to start a new football and cheer league here in Oswego.
With this there have been many obsticals we were not prepared for or expecting.
One of the biggest is the issue of fields. Field space in Oswego is very hard to come by especially the amount of space required for football. With so many sports programs already in place (3 football programs, multiple soccer and baseball, etc..) at this time we are still looking for somewhere for practices and games. Fields are assigned on a first come first serve basis, with previous years teams having first access.
We are hoping to obtain the Warriors fields which is a work in progress, since the Warrior program is still around and has first rights.
Registration will begin soon and at that time have a better idea as to what we'll have as far as numbers.
Should we not be able to fill team rosters or obtain fields we will send out the refunds for registration mid summer to early fall. If you register and things do not work out in 2011 you will be first on our list for the 2012 season.
So your child is not left out you may want to consider registering with both us and OYTF or the Warriors as a safety precaution that we are unable to get things worked out for the 2011 Bears.
